Tom Smith plays saxophones, piano, flute and the odd bit of EWI, a MIDI controller played like a clarinet. He was a finalist in the BBC’s inaugural Young Jazz Musician of the Year competiton in 2014, playing with Gwilym Simcock in the final.
The site is monochrome, save for Tom’s burnished brass sax, and a customised music player, designed to echo the look of the fat round saxophone keys. The pages fade into one another and the music remains uninterrupted; each features a different image of Tom set against a white brick texture. The site also features an image gallery, gig listing, news posts and a contact form.
